Avarie the Fairy Princess. Very fitting since she is the PRINCESS of the house.
Harper the Ghost. I fell in love with this outfit when I saw it on EBay.

Keigon Wanted to be Frankenstine this year.

It's Halloween time again. I love Halloween there's nothing more fun then walking around and getting free candy. We had lots of fun this year. Keigon decided that he wanted to be Frankenstein for Halloween. I was kind of surprised since he's really into Star Wars and Indiana Jones, I had no idea it would be so hard to find a Frankenstein costume for a child. It took me a while but I finally found one online. It ended up being a pretty cool costume. Keigon got lots of complements. Thursday before Halloween Keigon had a little Halloween social at his school. There was a costume parade, the kids sang Halloween songs, and made witches brew ( a yummy concoction of marshmallows, M&M's and various other snack type items). Keigon was like the only boy in his class that was not dressed up as some character from Star Wars.
Happy Halloween!!!!!!

Skating Fun

Aunt Angie, Lili,a and Keigon trying not to fall down.
Lili and Keigon hanging out on the ice.

I came to the realization shortly before Keigon's birthday (very shortly before) that I didn't have any thing planned. I hadn't even thought about presents. Usually I'm on top of this stuff and everything is planned months in advance. This year I found myself scrambling to make a PLAN. So I decide maybe it would be fun to go Ice skating. Keigon has been telling us since the first Rough Rides hockey game we ever went to that he wants to play hockey and of course to play hockey you have to know how to skate. As I look back maybe skating might not have been such a great idea, he tends to get a little bent out of shape when he can't do something and he's never skated before. Thank god he was in a good mood. It went really well. I didn't fall down once which I was excited about. Grandma Tammy didn't even fall down. ( Which was great because I would have never heard the end of it.) The Ice Arena had these cool little medal things for the kids to hold on to while they were learning and then they could do it by themselves which was way better then trying to hold them up the entire time. There were no broken bones so overall I think it went pretty well.

Trying to Keep in Touch

I decided to start our own family blog spot because it seems so hard to keep in touch. I am always check my step-brother Stephen's blog just to keep up with how their lives are going and decided that having our own was a brilliant idea. Life seems to always get in the way and you tend to loose touch with the people you care about most. We are so busy with school, work, chasing after Avarie, taking care of Harper and running Suzanne to swimming and Keigon to soccer, I barely get to talk to Dean let alone the rest of the family. The children are growing like weeds. It's hard to believe that Satuday Keigon will be 5 years old. Where did the time go?? Avarie is running around the house like a mad woman climbing on anything she can find. I've decided that she is definitely to smart for her own good. She has recently figured out that if you pull out drawers you can use them as steps. Thank god for child safety locks. Harper is getting bigger by the second. She is almost ready to roll over. She has the biggest smile that takes up her whole face, it's absolutely gorgeous. Suzanne has been quite busy with her first year in high school. Lots of homework and tons of practice for swimming. She's getting a lot faster and has set a personal record at almost every meet.
